James Bond Car Chase

I have been looking at other Car Chase film and James Bond Quantum of Solice is one of them. This is a very good example of a Car Chase, its is very fast editing which keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. It switches from shot to shot to show every angle of the Car Chase, this give a good view to the audience and it some them the setting and the location. They have amplified the sound of the car wheels skidding, engines and crashes. There are a lot of incidents that happen throughout the car chase such as the lorry crashing against the wall and other cars crashing. It is very well edited together and is very realistic. They do not use a backing track because they want to keep it very realistic, using ampified sounds of the cars engines gives it a better veiwing for the audience.

They have used camera shots such as close ups, medium shot, long shots and point of veiw shots. They have used close ups so that the audience get an idea of the characters facial expressions. Medium shots were used to show things like the quick gear changes and quick steering. Long shots are used to show the crashes, this gives the audience a full shot and experience of the crash. The point of view shot is used to the characters point of view of what is happening in front of them, this gives the audience an experience of what the characters are having to face.
