The Expendables teaser trailer

The expendables is an action film that stars some very well known actors such as Jason Statham, Jet Li, Micky Rourke, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin, Terry Crews and Slyvestre Stallone.

The trailer is about 40 seconds long which is shorter than most teaser trailers. The average is around 60 seconds. The trailer is quick paced throughout which keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. The reason why they dp this is so that they get the audience interested and wanting to find out more.

The trailer contains background music throughout. The sound track is by Thin Lizzy- Boys are back in town. The track is from the 70's which states that there are some older actors involved and also are targeting an older audience than it usually would. The trailer contains a voice over that is used through parts of the clip. The voice over tells the audience what the basic plot of the film is. It also tells the audience the name of the film and when it is also being released in the cinemas. This is key information that the audience need to know. They also use diologue in parts of the trailer as well.

They show clips of each character, this shows the audience what they are like and how they act. It gives the audience an idea of what to expect.
